The Author Hotline

is being developed by CW4K, or Creative Writing 4 Kids. They are the company behind a website that enables children to create and publish their own stories online. In its first year it has signed up over 2000 members and has been enthusiastically received by children, parents and teachers. In fact the response has been so encouraging that they are planning a huge expansion of its services. Embedding The Author Hotline into the site is part of that expansion...

snap

Weedy, shy and lost in my own world. Excelled at art, was rubbish at Maths. I hated sports and any kind of competitive activity. Freckles, glasses, always carried a sketchbook around with me everywhere (still do!).

Napoleon Bonaparte.

At the moment I work at home. I come up with ideas while sat in cafe's or on a train.

snap

The best thing is undoubtably the privilege of being able to express creativity, those precious moments when things just seem to come together naturally and I surprise even myself. Worst thing is spilled ink (Doh! there it goes again).

Q: Where do you get your greatest ideas from?

snap

Partly from interaction with my daughter, but also from delving into my own past experiences and aspirations.
