In its first year it has signed up over 2000 members and has been enthusiastically received by children, parents and teachers. Q: What were you like at school?
I recall a teacher saying that I was Bohemian! which I think was a reference to my mass of uncontrollable hair and obsession with hats!
Q: What did you want to be when you were a child?
A marine biologist - I had no idea that you could become a writer as a living!
Q: Which three words describe you best?
Dreamer, Chocololate eater, Hyper-activer (sorry that's more than 3)
Q: What is your favourite word?
Q: What makes you cringe?
Doing things solely to impress others.
Q: What are you afraid of?
I love frogs but am scared to hold them.
Q: When did you last have a really good laugh?
Seeing my baby niece do a very funny and very cute yawn.
Q: What is your most treasured possession?
I have a desktoy that I inherited from my great grandmother, it is a strong man lifting a weight and he rocks back and forth with the slightest touch.
Q: What do you do as a hobby?
i get a bot obsessed with cameras every now and then.
Q: What strange habits do you have?
I salute magpies when I see them.
Q: What’s your favourite food?
Dark Chocolate, popcorn in the cinema, houmous with crisps, pancakes with sausages, bacon and syrup.
Q: What do you day dream about?
turning into a wolf or a tiger or a lion.
Q: What’s the most outrageous thing you’ve done?
Tried to take a close up picture of a crocodile - it snapped at me!
Q: What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
Scuba diver - diving ship wrecks.

I'm yet to grow up.

I'd like to be braver.

Not really - i started performing poems and in order to perform something well i had to write it down and learn it.
Q: Where do you do your writing?
In my studio overlooking next door's roof.
Q: What are the best and worst things about being an author?
Best things You get to create worlds and characters. Worst thing It can take a long time and is tiring.
Q: Where do you get your greatest ideas from?
listening to everyone and everything.
Q: Which of your own characters do you most identify with?
I have a character in a poem who is shocked when he discovers his body changing during puberty - i can relate to that.
Q: What do you do to combat “writers’ block”?
I write anyway.
